Position: Care Home Deputy Manager
Location: Chesterfield S40
Location Registration: Elderly / Dementia Care
Job Type: 40 hours per week full time some supernumerary hours
Criteria: experienced deputy manager in residential care , with NVQ 3 or above
My client is a successful elderly care provider and is seeking a deputy manager for a lovely GOOD rated medium sized residential and dementia care home with a super reputation locally
The home provides specialist residential care for the frail elderly and those suffering with dementia and it is essential that you have a solid background within the health sector.
There is a Registered Manager, and a very supportive regional manager and you will use your experience and passion for elderly care working closely with the home manager and leading a team of carers ensuring excellent care is provided .
The home has a ‘Good’ CQC rating.
As Deputy Manager you will be directly involved in the day-to-day running of the floor and office of the service so that the unit meets the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act and associated regulations
Tasks
Your main responsibilities will be:-
working closely with the home manager and deputising in their absence
Ensuring CQC standards are maintained
Supervising the shift
Being involved in recruitment
Care plans
Supervisions
Medication
Dols
Liaising with outside professionals and residents’ families
Profile
You will be/have:-
Passionate about elderly and dementia care and be an excellent communicator
You will be motivated and a strong leader
Have elderly and dementia care experience gained in a residential care home
Have NVQ level 3 or above
